The Nyström matrix retainer is a bit of a recent find for us at Incidental Ltd. The retainer can be used in replacement for a tofflemire retainer for almost all applications and is easier to load and offers some helpful benefits.

The angle produced for deep margin elevation (DME) and for class 5 and composite veneers if often superior to the tofflemire retainer and it holds the matrix bands exceptionally well (no slipping during tightening).

We are now recommending all our DME bands and U bands are used in the Nyström retainer as we have been enjoying superior and less technique sensitive results.
