Diamond discs are used in a straight handpiece and are very useful for the fine adjustment of restorations extra orally. They are widely used in the dental laboratory.
Clinically they are especially useful for sectioning and adjusting temporary crowns and bridges. They are a real must for longer span temps especially and allow you to create far superior provisional restorations.
These diamond discs come in a very wide variety of sizes, grits and flexibility.
We have spent some time testing them and feel these are overall best for provisional restorations.
The discs can be autoclaved at 134°C
