The N5B is a highly specific and curved matrix band that is designed to isolate and matrix for class 5 cavities. The bands can be used to both isolate and matrix class 5 cavities or can be used in conjunction with a rubber dam (using the retainer to push the dam below the cavity base).
The band works best with a Nyström retainer but can also be used with a tofflemire retainer (contra angle preferred).
These bands are 40 micron thick stainless steel and are just slightly malleable to allow proper adaption and burnishing.
