The N5B is a highly specific, curved matrix band designed specifically to solve the challenges of Class 5 restorations. It serves a dual purpose: it provides the perfect cervical matrix, but can also be used as a "retraction tool" to push rubber dam comfortably below the base of the cavity for a bone-dry field.
Dentatus N5B Matrix Bands: Specialized curved bands for superior cervical isolation and anatomic contouring of gingival-level restorations.
Key Performance Features
› Anatomic Curve: The specific geometry of the N5B allows it to wrap snugly around the cervical neck of the tooth, minimizing cervical flash.
› Ideal Malleability: At 40 microns thick, these stainless steel bands offer just enough "give" to be burnished and adapted perfectly to the gingival margin.
› Isolation Support: Can be used alone or in conjunction with rubber dam to provide stable, mechanical retraction of soft tissue.
Retainer Compatibility:
The N5B works best when used with the Nyström Retainer, but is also compatible with standard Tofflemire retainers (we recommend a contra-angle for cervical access).
