The flat tip is our workhorse — it handles composite placement, contouring, and surface smoothing in the majority of cases. For posterior work, a careful bend with pliers improves the angulation significantly and makes Class I and Class II access noticeably easier. The round fine tip is the one to reach for when adding surface characterisation, tints, or fine anatomical detail — the smaller contact area gives you precision that a flat tip can't match. Both tips are used wet with GC Modelling Liquid, which eliminates composite stickiness and lets you flow and shape the material without it dragging. Compatible with other autoclavable handle systems too.
