The Unitip delivery makes everX Posterior highly practical for chairside use. The material utilises short E-glass fibres to provide internal reinforcement, working on the same principle as everX Flow: these fibres redirect crack propagation laterally, preventing catastrophic vertical fractures into the root structure. To ensure long-term stability and aesthetics, the Universal shade must be fully encased in a layer of conventional light-cured composite to protect the fibre network from the oral environment and provide a polishable wear surface.
Indications
- Dentine replacement in cavities involving 3 or more surfaces
- Cavities with missing or undermined cusps
- Deep Class I and Class II restorations including endodontically treated teeth
- Post-amalgam removal — particularly where amalgam has initiated cracking or cusp fracture
- Cases where onlays or inlays would also be indicated but direct restoration is preferred
