We've been using everX Flow since 2019 and the long-term follow-up has been consistently positive. Our primary use is reinforcing root-filled teeth — it works well as a direct post substitute or Nayyar core, where the fibre reinforcement reduces the risk of catastrophic root fracture rather than just filling the space. For those cases we favour the Bulk shade: the 5.5mm depth of cure gives you confidence that the material is fully polymerised even in deeper canal orifice areas. GC have recently updated the indications — everX Flow no longer requires a mandatory covering composite in all situations, which significantly broadens where you can use it. The recommendation remains to cover the occlusal surface with a conventional composite as the polishability isn't quite the same. The Dentin shade is the better choice when you need premium aesthetics or to block out dark amalgam staining.
