The original Elliott ring i was developed and is manufactured exclusively by Incidental Ltd
1) The tines are wide to allow a wedge to easily sit below the device and prevent matrix distortion
2) The device can be tightened to the desired tension. This will prevent matrix distortion and also allow increased separation when needed e.g. for thicker mylar bands.
3) The device is easy to place negating the need for ring forceps. The screw component can be placed at either side of the device depending on the location in the mouth to allow comfortable seating.
