This clamp has an extended distal; bow. Often used when working on mandibular molars this bow can create enough distal retraction in the rubber dam to allow you to place a tofflemire or saddle retainer (or similar).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"sqsrte-large\"\u003e2) The 2AD clamp. This clamp fits on a premolar tooth and extends distally. to provide rubber dam retraction. We would strongly encourage securing the dam with liquid dam (or similar). Once placed the 2AD clamp allows comfortable access to the last tooth\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"sqsrte-large\"\u003e3) The SG clamp. This clamp is similar to the 2AD clamp but extends distally from a molar tooth. Again we would strongly encourage securing the dam with liquid dam (or similar) after placement\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"sqsrte-large\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAdditional tips\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul data-rte-list=\"default\"\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"sqsrte-large\"\u003eAdditional holes have been made in the 2AD and SG clamps. These will allow a customised (bent) standard Tor VM ring (or similar) to be affixed to the clamp to improve distal retraction\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"sqsrte-large\"\u003eA clamp can sometimes be placed on the opposing tooth (normally maxillary molar) to improve distal retraction and access in last tooth in the arch cases.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"sqsrte-large\"\u003e\u003cem\u003ePlease note that these techniques for last tooth in the arch are difficult and may require further training.
